Officer Placement

Our formula for success is hiring the right person for the right job. We are not a national security firm where we have giant corporate clients that we are mandated to serve though we have a sufficient base of officers to staff our sites. When we are selected as your security provider, we design a mission statement for that account and then review the characteristics of each of our officers and select the person(s) whom are most qualified to provide those services. Many companies simply schedule a person at a site with no thought as to whether the officer wants to be at that site, or whether they are qualified to be at that site. From the time an officer is hired they are evaluated and trained on a daily basis until a supervisor releases them.

All On-Site Officers are trained by our own personnel to not only successfully pass the Oregon and Washington State Licensing examination, but also to have a basic understanding of their position. Since on-site personnel are not armed, and many times do not have communications, we focus on their ability to observe and report accurately what they see and hear. It is an art to be able to control one's emotions, make good judgment, and make sure that they have a good description of an individual or a situation before they leave the scene. We have found that if the officer agrees to accept an assignment at a site, they are more thorough in providing the services that are covered in the mission statement. At First Response, Inc. once an officer is assigned to a site we have regular interaction with that officer to assure that they understand the mission and that they are exceeding client expectations.

Reporting

For every On-site account, that client will be provided a carbon copy report of all daily activity, including situations, safety or security concerns, and additional information requested by the client specifically for each location. Each of our officers understands their mission is to observe, report, and be a visual deterrent to anyone who may wish to cause harm to buildings, parked vehicles or individuals on our client's property. We take ownership, i.e. we are responsible for every client's property during the time they are not present. Our management staff is committed to each officer's welfare, supervision and fair treatment. This reflects our business plan where the goal, every day, is to "exceed client expectations."

The officer would walk the property, performing a security audit and making notes on a Daily Activity Report for the Property Manager's review. This officer is to be observant of any suspicious situations or individuals on the property and make a thorough report for the Property Manager to review. Any security situation where the officer feels that it is necessary to call the police, they will write an Incident Report with complete information. The officer will perform any of the necessary duties for the site, such as checking ID or enforcing organizational policies while providing an excellent source of Client Services.

Officer Replacement

If for any reason the client does not feel that the officer at their location meets their expectations, the officer will be replaced with 48 hours of the request.
